This doctoral research focuses on advancing sustainable paperboard packaging through numerical simulation, experimental validation, and process optimization of thermoforming and press forming technologies. The work investigates material behavior, deformation mechanisms, and process conditions influencing the performance of paperboard under various forming environments. Current studies emphasize comparative analysis of thermoforming and press forming processes, while future research will examine the effects of humidity on paperboard behavior under different forming conditions. The project aims to improve sustainable material utilization, enhance forming efficiency, and support the development of environmentally responsible packaging solutions through advanced finite element modeling and interdisciplinary research collaboration.
