Phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties data are of fundamental importance in designing new bio-refinery processes and optimizing existing ones.

Main objectives

  • Measuring phase equilibrium data for vapor-liquid, liquid-liquid, and solid-liquid systems 
  • Physicochemical properties measurement for molecules in the bio-based supply chain
  • Developing and evaluating advanced thermodynamic models to predict the phase behavior
  • Assessment of 2 categories of predictive models: Group contribution methods and COSMO-based models
